TNH: ACCOMPANYING CHILDREN IN THE MOUNTAIN REGIONS IN THE 2024 READING FESTIVAL

Continuing humanitarian and charitable activities towards children in mountainous areas, on April 21, 2024 Thai Nguyen International Hospital Joint Stock Company (TNH) coordinated with the inter-school cluster (Cho Don Ethnic minority boarding schools, Hoang Van Thu Secondary School, Bang Lung Town Secondary School) Cho Don district, Bac Kan province organized the program “Book Festival: Exchange with writers, artists, doctors, journalists, teachers”. Attending the program were Chairman of Cho Don District People’s Committee, Chairman of Bac Kan Provincial Culture and Arts Association, along with a large number of writers, artists, doctors, journalists, teachers from Hanoi and Thai Nguyen, parents of students and about 600 students of the schools.

This is a continuation of the program of free health examinations, consultations and book gifts for teachers and students of Cho Don Ethnic Minorities School organized by TNH in December 2023.

At the program, many useful activities took place: Art book competition, students felt about their favorite books; Exchange with writers and artists on the occasion of Vietnam Book Day on April 21; Doctors share knowledge about school health care; Book donation activities for school libraries. Through the above meaningful activities, we help students understand the importance of books, how to choose appropriate books, and the wonderful benefits of books, which are an invaluable treasure of knowledge to help them broaden their horizon.

In addition, Thai Nguyen International Hospital Joint Stock Company and artists presented 20 gifts to 20 students in difficult circumstances at schools. We hope that timely attention and encouragement will give them more motivation to study, practice, and improve in life.

The program “Book Festival: Exchange with writers, artists, doctors, journalists, teachers” at Cho Don Ethnic Minority Boarding School, Bac Kan province is part of a series of volunteer activities aiming at the goal “For health and Wisdom of Mountain Children” has been methodically and persistently implemented by TNH for many years. Thereby, helping to propagate health protection education to the community and improve intellectual and cultural understanding for ethnic minority students in remote and difficult areas.
