TNH HOSPITAL SYSTEM PARTNERS WITH MY DUC HOSPITAL TO ESTABLISH A REPRODUCTIVE SUPPORT CENTER IN THAI NGUYEN

In the context of Vietnam’s healthcare sector entering a phase of comprehensive reform under Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo, TNH Hospital Group Joint Stock Company and My Duc Hospital have officially signed a cooperation agreement in the field of reproductive support. This strategically significant event marks a concrete step in implementing policies on the development of specialized healthcare, socialization of medical services, and improvement of healthcare quality for the population.

Aligning with healthcare development orientation in the new era

Since 2014, starting with its first brand, Thai Nguyen International Hospital, the TNH Hospital Group has consistently pursued a sustainable healthcare development strategy with people at the center. TNH has gradually shifted from a disease-treatment model to a proactive, comprehensive, and continuous healthcare approach. Investment, service expansion, and professional development activities across the TNH Hospital System are closely aligned with major guidelines and policies of the Party and the State, particularly Resolution 72-NQ/TW.

In line with the Resolution, Vietnam’s healthcare sector is focusing on synchronized development across all levels—from primary care to highly specialized services; accelerating digital transformation in healthcare management and delivery; and promoting healthcare socialization to mobilize non-public resources, thereby reducing pressure on the state budget and lowering costs for patients. These orientations are also core pillars of TNH Hospital Group’s long-term development strategy.

Reproductive support – a key pillar in the specialized healthcare strategy

Within the roadmap to realize these orientations, reproductive healthcare and assisted reproductive technologies (ART) have been identified by the TNH Hospital System as key areas for structured and systematic investment. In reality, infertility rates in Vietnam are on the rise, while in the northern midland and mountainous regions, access to high-quality reproductive support services remains limited.

Sharing his insights, MSc. Dr. Ho Manh Tuong (Advisor of My Duc IVF System), with many years of experience in assisted reproduction, noted:

“The demand for infertility diagnosis and treatment is increasing; however, high treatment costs and prolonged treatment duration pose major barriers for infertile couples living far from major medical centers. Travel, accommodation expenses during treatment, and IVF procedures can result in total costs exceeding the direct medical expenses for couples from distant provinces. In addition, work disruption and long periods away from home also create significant challenges during IVF treatment.”

Stemming from these practical needs, the cooperation between TNH Hospital Group and My Duc Hospital is considered an important step toward bringing modern assisted reproductive technologies closer to people in the northern midland and mountainous regions.

Strategic partnership between TNH and My Duc: expanding access to high-quality services

My Duc Hospital is a pioneer in assisted reproductive medicine at a regional (Asia-level) scale and is among the most successful hospitals in Vietnam in this field. The My Duc IVF System operates more than 10 IVF centers nationwide, adhering to international quality standards and continuously improving. IVF centers within the system consistently achieve high and stable success rates over the years. Continuous and effective training programs for physicians and staff have contributed to steadily improving IVF outcomes. The latest assisted reproductive techniques and technologies worldwide are regularly updated and applied across the system.

The TNH Reproductive Support Center represents My Duc Hospital’s first strategic partnership in Northern Vietnam, promising significant development potential and meeting the expectations of a large number of northern residents who wish to directly access leading fertility specialists at more reasonable costs.

TNH Hospital Group plans to establish the Reproductive Support Center at Thai Nguyen International Hospital, expected to commence operations in the third quarter of 2026, in full compliance with Vietnamese legal regulations. At the same time, TNH will receive technology transfer and human resource training from My Duc IVF, develop technical procedures and quality management systems in accordance with advanced standards, and gradually implement modern assisted reproductive techniques. These efforts aim to reduce costs and shorten treatment duration for patients.

Affirming the role of private healthcare in sustainable healthcare system development

The cooperation between two non-public healthcare institutions—My Duc Hospital and the TNH Hospital System—not only meets the growing demand for reproductive healthcare services, but also helps affirm the role of the private healthcare sector in partnering with the State to build a modern, equitable, efficient, and sustainable healthcare system.

This signing ceremony stands as clear evidence of the proactive role of the private healthcare sector in translating major Party and State policies into concrete actions, while opening up greater access to high-quality medical services for the public—toward the goal of improving community health indicators and narrowing the gap with more developed countries in the region.
