YOUTH UNION OF THAI NGUYEN INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL PROVIDES FREE MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS IN BAN LEN – VAN LANG

On January 30, 2026, as the characteristic cold of Vietnam’s northern mountainous region continued to blanket Ban Ten, the Youth Union of Thai Nguyen International Hospital arrived at Ban Ten, Van Lang Commune, Thai Nguyen Province to carry out a program of free medical check-ups, health consultations, and medicine distribution for local residents. This activity took place within the framework of the “Winter Volunteer Campaign 2025 & Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026” organized by the Youth Union of Phan Dinh Phung Ward.

Ban Ten is located nearly 28 km north of the former Dong Hy District center and is the most remote highland village in the area. The road leading to the village is winding, steep, and slippery in many sections. The closer one gets to the village, the fewer signs of human presence there are. Here, 100% of the population are H’Mong ethnic people. Living conditions remain challenging, and access to healthcare services faces many obstacles. For many residents, a comprehensive medical examination is sometimes a distant luxury.

TNH Hospital Group mobilized a team of doctors and nurses from various specialties, fully preparing medicines, supplies, and essential medical equipment, traveling long distances to bring healthcare services directly to the village. This journey was not only a professional mission, but also a journey of sharing, responsibility, and compassion from those working in the medical field.

At Ban Ten, nearly 300 residents and children received general health check-ups, medical consultations, and free medicines. Doctors from Thai Nguyen International Hospital specializing in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Dentistry, and Ophthalmology devotedly examined each case, listening to unresolved health issues and the very real, everyday concerns of highland residents. Many people suffer from chronic illnesses, respiratory diseases due to cold weather and limited living conditions; children often fall ill but rarely receive adequate medical check-ups.

Despite the cold weather and long working hours from early morning until late afternoon, TNH doctors and staff remained tireless, carefully guiding residents on how to use medicines and how to take care of their health during seasonal changes, hoping that every piece of advice would help them stay healthier in the days ahead.

The reassuring looks and simple smiles of the residents—from children to the elderly—were the greatest motivation for the medical team to overcome all fatigue. The medical session came to an end, but the lasting impression of sharing and compassion continues to resonate in this highland village.

💙 Through this meaningful activity, TNH Hospital Group Joint Stock Company continues to affirm its spirit of social responsibility and its development journey closely connected with the community. TNH is always ready to accompany local authorities and organizations in social welfare and charitable programs, contributing to the care and improvement of public health—so that healthcare is not only within hospital walls, but can also reach places still facing many hardships.
